Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) is the pioneer and leader of the petroleum industry in Nigeria. It has the largest acreage in the country from which it produces some 43 per cent of the nation’s oil. The company’s operations are concentrated in the Niger Delta and adjoining shallow offshore areas where it operates in an oil mining lease area of around 31,000 square kilometers.
SPDC is currently involved in a multi-million dollar oil and gas project in the Niger Delta region with the objective of increasing production to help meet the world’s growing demand for energy.
We re currently looking to recruit Geoscientists for our Lagos business.
Responsibilities:
- HSSE awareness towards personal,team safety and Goal zero.
- Generation and maturation of prospects with geologic and 2D/3D seismic interpretation data to approved Well Proposal,then through the Well Delivery Process,Execution and Post Drill evaluation.
- Play analysis and prosecution of new plays through robust regional evaluation.
- Preparation of auditable volumes and risking for leads and prospects according to Shell methodology.
- Preparation of Non Technical Risk plans for the opportunity under evaluation.
- Jointly with the Team Lead,prepare and follow through all internal and external stakeholder plans.
Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:

Keeps accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed.

Job Requirement
Experienced Land Surveyor registered with the professional body of land surveyor.
At least 12 years of general land surveying experience; of which 5 years were as head of land surveying team.
A B.Sc degree is required with a major in surveying.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of land surveying.
Knowledgeable in land surveying, infrastructure, building drawing reading & drafting standards including solid knowledge of physical quantity surveying for building & infrastructure work.
